6. Expand Your Boundaries, Not Your Waistline

Sometimes we're not really craving food, we're craving novelty. Grab a calendar and write down something new to try or do each month. Imagine how much fuller your life will feel (as opposed to your belly!) when you travel to a new city, try that hot new exercise trend or join a knitting group to learn some new needle skills!

7. Brown Bag It, Baby!

Packing your own lunch means you're in control of fat, freshness and calories! Not so when you do lunch at the drive-thru, cafeteria or corner sandwich joint. Take 10 minutes out of your morning to toss together a yummy, healthy lunch, then congratulate yourself; you've taken another big step toward Skinny!

8. Shop Smart

Always hit the grocery store with a plan. My printable Shop Smart seasonal grocery list helps put the plan in your hand. It's the perfect cheat sheet for which produce is currently fresh & flavorful, with room to list the rest of your savvy snacks and smart choices so you stick to what you need. Just remember the golden rule of grocery-getting: Never shop on an empty stomach!

9. Tell It To The Page

Use a journal to track your workouts, moods, meals, highs & lows. Journaling is a great way to zero in on habits that work for you as well as those that sabotage the Skinny. Plus, all your hard work and healthy habits are on paper next time you need motivation to "just say no" to those fries!

10. Walk It Off

Our bodies are built to move, so there's nothing healthier than hoofing it. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park at the far end of the lot. Take Fido an extra block or grab your cell phone to catch up while you're catching your breath. The more you move, the more you'll want to move. Yep, exercise is addictive. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and strut your Skinny stuff!
